Cornell Study: E-prescribing cuts medication errors by seven-fold
This excellent study supports the work of Dr James Figge at NY to have additional e-Prescription compensation for prescribers and pharmacies. SV
Examples of the types of errors found included incomplete directions and prescribing a medication but omitting the quantity. A small number of errors were more serious, such as prescribing incorrect dosages.
